Are you looking to ease your way into fitness? Or maybe you and your friends have committed to getting healthy together? Or maybe you used to be in shape and are looking to get fit again? No matter the reason, 30-day workout challenges are a great way to dip your toes into the fitness lifestyle.
Doing 30-day challenges with my friends was my first introduction to regular, daily fitness. The very first challenge we ever did was a 30-day yoga challenge. When I did that challenge, I began completely out of shape and with 65lbs to lose. But doing the yoga challenge every day showed me that I was capable of follow-through, challenging myself, and that regular exercise gave results. I was hooked from that challenge on. From then on we did squat challenges, push-up challenges, total body challenges, and eventually full programs, like 80 Day Obsession.
Why 30-Day Challenges?
A 30-day challenge is great because you’re only committing for a short, and reasonable period of time. 30 days is long enough to see results but short enough that you can always see the end of the road. And doing challenges with friends will keep you accountable to your goal of completing the challenge. Read my post about accountability and why it’s so important here.
Tips For Completing A Challenge
- Create a group chat for everyone involved in the challenge to check-in each day.
- Or create a Facebook group for you and your friends to check-in, share recipes, ideas, fit memes and more! It will keep you accountable and motivated.
- If you’re doing a fitness challenge, finish your exercise in the morning to get it out of the way.
- If you’re a beginner choose an easier challenge.
- Print off the challenge so you have a visual reminder each day and can cross off the days.
