The lifestyle that I have now didn’t happen by accident. I truly believe that the lifestyle I have now is one that I manifested into existence. I went beyond dreaming and wishing for a new life, and instead, focused on manifesting the life I knew was meant for me.
I talk about changing my mindset and mindset habits in a few other posts but let me start by saying that changing my mindset about the outcome of my efforts was number one. This time, I absolutely had to believe. Doubting myself simply couldn’t be an option anymore. Because doubting myself was like having one foot out the door. Doubting myself meant I wasn’t actually committing to anything. So, doubt was no longer an option! I had to replace doubt with unwavering belief in myself.

Wishing vs. Manifesting
For the longest time, I would simply wish and dream about having a healthy lifestyle that I loved. I would wish for lfie to be different and I would dream about how I thought things would be when I finally hit my goals. I would go shopping and wish that I was shopping for different sizes or I would dream about shopping at different stores.
All I did was wish and dream.
What I didn’t understand at the time was, that wishing and dreaming are not the same as manifesting.
Manifesting requires action.
I would wish and dream without any significant action. Or sometimes I would take significant action but, as already mentioned, I would still have one foot out the door, not truly committed, or I was coming from a negative space. No wonder, for the longest time, things didn’t work out for me.
Steps For Creating Your Healthiest Life
Believe You Are Worthy
To begin manifesting the life of your dreams, you need to start with believing without any doubt that you are worthy of this healthy lifestyle. You need to firmly believe that you are deserving of incredible health. So, start with posting a post-it note on your mirror with an affirmation of your worth. Here are some examples:
- I am worthy and deserving of all the wonderful things in the world.
- I am deserving and worthy of a healthy body.
- Investing in my health is a wonderful investment.
- I am committed to being my best and healthiest self.
- I am deserving of health and happiness.
You can also choose to write these out in a journal but make sure it is somewhere where you will see it regularly. Read your affirmations daily or even several times a day. The more your read your affirmations, the more your brain is going to internalize these positive thoughts. And again, for manifestion to work, you absolutely need to believe in yourself.
Be Specfic
It is not enought to simply say, “I wish I was healthier”, or “I wish I could lose 50 pounds”. You need to be specific when manifesting your desired future. It is also important that you speak to yourself as if you are already living your dreams. For example, “I have lost 50 pounds, I have good blood pressure, I feel regularly energetic, and clear-headed daily. I feel as though I have endless energy to do the things I love to do. I am happily living an active lifestyle.”
When you speak “as if” you are telling your brain how you want to live and are getting it used to accepting these facts. You are speaking what you want into existence.
Depending on your goals, you can get super specific. Such as, “I am a runner who runs 5-6 miles a week” or “I have joined *name your gym* that I love going to regularly.”
The more specific you are, the easier it is to manifest.
Deep Visualization
When I really started to manifest my new life, I made a point of deeply visualizing my new self. Again, I was very specific. I would look in the mirror and then in my minds eye, work to create a new picture of myself. I would detail the type of clothes I would wear, the activity I was dressed for (almost always I visualized myself dressed for a workout lol), how my hair looked, whether or not I had makeup on etc. I would just try to visualize that next version of myself as intensely as possible.
I applied this deep visualization to my workouts. I would visualize myself doing the workout well, completing the time, or running the distance, and would see myself happy and proud at the end. I would even flex my arms and visualize muscles growing!
Live As If
This is one of the most important steps and that is to “live as if”. Live as if my dreams were already coming true. For example, the highest version of myself meditated, journaled, did yoga in the morning, and spent more time walking than sitting. So, instead of waiting, I started doing those “high vibe” version of myself things long before I actually reached that true version of myself.
I started some low-key meditating, I started to journal once or twice a week, I started crafting at night while watching tv instead of eating in front of the tv. The version of myself that I wanted to be carried around a water bottle so I adopted that habit, and she went on daily walks so I did that too. I began to live as if I was already her.
I would regularly ask myself “what does the dream version of myself think about this situation etc” and then I would make decisions as though I was already that person. It took a little practice but overtime, that dream version of myself started to emerge.
Vision Board
Create a vision board (I use Pinterest and Canva to create mine) that embodies everything you want to manifest. Again, be as specific as possible. Use pictures, affirmations, keywords, quotes, whatever represents what you are manifesting. After you have created your board(s), have it somewhere where you will see it often. For example, I made mine my phone wallpaper so I see it everytime I pick up my phone.
Gratitude Journaling
Gratitude journaling has changed my life. It has changed how I see the world and how I see myself. Once I became aware of all the abundance I was already blessed with, more and more blessings began to come my way. I began to journal my gratitude for my body, my ability to move, the healthy food that was available to me, and so much more. I made a point of thanking myself for my efforts and reminding myself how proud I was of my journey.
When I became thankful for my body’s ability to exercise and for the fact that it moved and responded to me, I was able to appreciate my body in whole new ways, even when I was at my heaviest. Because, even at my heaviest, my body moved, stretched, responded, and tried hard. Even at my heaviest, my body was always trying it’s best. I realized that when I appreciated my body, that my body and I could work together.
Go Out And Manifest Your Health!
It’s time to manifest your healthiest life, and you can absolutely do it! Remember, it starts with having both feet firmly in the door and believing in yourself whole-heartedly. When you believe in yourself, no matter what, you will manifest all that you desire. It might not happen all at once, but it will happen.
